Nadine Wilson

MLA Saskatchewan Rivers Nadine Wilson has always gravitated towards public service. Originally from Paddockwood, she studied Social Service Work in Saskatoon prior to becoming a corrections worker. Nadine was one of the first women to work as a corrections worker in the Men's Provincial Correctional Center in Prince Albert. Ms. Wilson and her husband Doug have been married for 27 years. The couple and their four children are fourth generation cattle ranchers north of Prince Albert. They own and manage a herd of registered Hereford and crossbreed herd of Angus cattle. Their role in the beef industry has given their family travel opportunities internationally. Ms. Wilson also has strong roots in her community. Over the years, Ms. Wilson has been elected or appointed to a number of organizations and boards. She had been twice elected for two terms as reeve for the Rural Municipality of Paddockwood and also served as past president for the North Central Rural Municipality Association. Ms. Wilson has spent more than a decade involved with 4-H clubs and seven years as a local school trustee. Elected twice to chair the Carlton High School Grad Committee and judging Regional 4-H judging clinics has influenced her decisions regarding the youth of this province. Ms. Wilson was first elected as the MLA for Saskatchewan Rivers in the 2007 provincial election. Ms. Wilson is currently a member of the caucus' Standing Policy Committee on the Economy and is also a member of the legislature's Standing Committee on the Economy, as well as the Private Bills House Committee. |
