Daryl Harrison Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Cannington September 25, 2023

ARCOLA, SK – Tonight, Daryl Harrison was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party nominated candidate for Cannington in the 2024 provincial election.

“I want to thank our local members and all of my constituents for the support I’ve received over the past few years.,” Harrison said. “It’s an honour to be your Saskatchewan Party candidate for Cannington and I look forward to earning your support once again in 2024.”

Harrison was elected as the MLA for Cannington in the 2020 provincial election and currently serves as a member of the Standing Committee on Public Accounts, as well as Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Resources. He has previously served as Legislative Secretary responsible for value-added agriculture and livestock engagement to the Minister of Agriculture.

Before becoming an MLA, Harrison worked in the oil industry for over 30 years in various roles including as an Account Manager with Baker Hughes General Electric. In addition, he has served as a councillor for the local rural municipality, the Director for Zone 1 of the Saskatchewan Stock Grower’s association, a member of the Lions Club, a volunteer fire fighter and a cattle rancher. Harrison has also served as a school division trustee for the Souris-Moose Mountain and South East Cornerstone School Divisions.

Harrison and his wife Cheryl live in the constituency and have six children and six grandchildren.

The Saskatchewan Party has now nominated 21 candidates in advance of the 2024 election.
