Dustin Duncan to be nominated today as candidate for Weyburn-Big Muddy

Weyburn— This evening, Weyburn-Big Muddy MLA Dustin Duncan will be nominated for what will be his fourth time as the Saskatchewan Party candidate in Weyburn-Big Muddy for the next provincial election.

“It's been an honour and a privilege to be a part of the government since 2007, and to serve the people of Weyburn-Big Muddy since 2006. It's a responsibility and a trust that I hold in the highest regard.”

Duncan was first elected to the Legislature representing the Weyburn-Big Muddy constituency in a by-election in 2006. Duncan was re-elected again in 2007 and 2011.

After the Saskatchewan Party formed government in 2007, Duncan served as Chair of the Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies. In 2009 Duncan was appointed as Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport followed by appointments as Minister of Environment, Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Water Corporation and Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy. In 2012, Duncan was appointed to serve as Minister of Health.

Duncan is proud of the Saskatchewan Party government’s record, and feels that Premier Brad Wall is an exceptional leader. Duncan is looking forward to the continued growth under his leadership.

“I believe Saskatchewan is on the right track under Brad Wall and the Saskatchewan Party. His leadership has been instrumental in the growth and successes our province is now enjoying.”
