“Election Week Starts Today” - Premier Scott Moe Encourages Voting at Advance Polls

“Election Week Starts Today” - Premier Scott Moe Encourages Voting at Advance Polls October 20, 2020

Premier Scott Moe today encouraged voters to consider voting at one of the advance polls, which open today across the province.

Advance polls will be open from noon until 8 pm, every day from today until this Saturday, October 24. Election Day is Monday, October 26.

“Elections Saskatchewan is working hard to make sure everyone can vote safely,” Moe said. “This election, there will be more advance poll locations and advance polls will be open an hour longer each day than in previous elections. This should help ensure the polling places are not crowded, so voters should consider avoiding the rush on Election Day by voting this week at an advance poll.

“This election, we should probably think of it as Election Week rather than Election Day, and Election Week starts today. The polls are open until 8 pm every evening, so it’s a great chance for people to vote after work.”

Premier Moe was joined by Saskatoon Riversdale Saskatchewan Party candidate Marv Friesen. Friesen is planning to vote this afternoon at one of the Saskatoon Riversdale advance polls.

“Starting today, you can vote for a strong recovery and a strong Saskatchewan,” Moe said. “Here in Saskatoon Riversdale, that means voting for Marv Friesen and helping to re-elect a Saskatchewan Party government.”

Voters can find the advance poll locations for their constituency on their Elections Saskatchewan voting card or on the Elections Saskatchewan website elections.sk.ca.
