Everett Hindley Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Swift Current October 04, 2023

SWIFT CURRENT, SK – Tonight, Everett Hindley was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party nominated candidate for Swift Current in the 2024 provincial election.

“Thank you to all of the Saskatchewan Party members in Swift Current for your support once again,” Hindley said. “It’s an honour to serve our constituency and I will continue to work hard to earn the trust of Swift Current voters for the next election.”

Hindley was first elected as the MLA for Swift Current in a 2018 byelection and was re-elected in the 2020 provincial election.

Hindley currently serves as Minister of Health and has previously served as Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Seniors and Rural and Remote Health. He has also served as Government Whip and Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Trade and Export Development, and has served on several government boards. 

Hindley grew up on a family farm in northeast Saskatchewan and worked for several years as a news director and broadcaster in Swift Current before entering politics in 1999. He is a member of his local Kiwanis Club and the Royal Canadian Legion.

Hindley and his wife have two grown children and are proud grandparents.

With Hindley’s nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 23 candidates for the next provincial election.
