“I’m thrilled and honoured to be nominated to represent the Saskatchewan Party in the upcoming by-election here in Swift Current,” said Hindley. “I can’t wait to continue the work and build on the legacy that Premier Brad Wall has created in this constituency.”

Hindley has served as the Executive Assistant to the Premier since 2007 and before that was the constituency assistant at Wall's Swift Current MLA office since 1999.  Prior to his career in politics, Hindley was the morning news announcer and news director for the radio stations in Swift Current and the colour commentator for the Swift Current Broncos hockey team broadcasts for 3 seasons.

Hindley noted that the Saskatchewan Party has made significant investments in the Swift Current constituency since 2007, including: a brand new 225-bed long-term care facility; a 138 percent increase in revenue sharing to the city of Swift Current; a 52 percent increase in health region funding; and significantly increased operating and capital infrastructure funding for local school divisions.

“The Saskatchewan Party has worked hard to grow the constituency of Swift Current since 2007,” said Hindley. “I look forward to continuing that growth in Swift Current over the next number of years, and representing the interests of all my constituents.”

Hindley and his wife, Anita, live in Swift Current. They have two children and one grandchild.

The by-election for Swift Current will be officially called in the coming months.
