Gary Grewal Wins Contested Nomination in Regina Northeast

Regina, SK – Last night, Gary Grewal was nominated by members as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the Regina Northeast By-Election.

“I want to thank each of our members who took the time to come out tonight,” said Grewal “I will work hard to represent all the citizens of Regina Northeast as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate in the upcoming by-election.”

Grewal is currently the President of the India Canada Association of Saskatchewan. He has been working in the hospitality sector in Regina for the past 25 years after immigrating to Canada in 1983. He has previously served as the President of the Saskatchewan Cricket Association and President of the Sikh Society.

Grewal noted that the Saskatchewan Party has made significant investments in Regina since 2007, including: $174.8 million in capital investments in the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region; $300 million in education capital funding; and projects such as the Regina Bypass and the construction of Mosaic Stadium.

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with the Saskatchewan Party Government under the Leadership of Premier Scott Moe,” said Grewal “I have been a fan of the Saskatchewan Party since its beginning in 1997 and look forward to working with a very balanced team of MLA’s.”

Grewal and his wife, Seema, have three children and two grandchildren.
