Paul Merriman Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Silverspring-Sutherland January 04, 2019

Saskatoon, SK – Paul Merriman was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Saskatoon Silverspring-Sutherland for the 2020 provincial election.

 

“It’s an honour to serve you, the constituents of Saskatoon Silverspring-Sutherland, as your Saskatchewan Party representative” Merriman said, “I am excited to stand up for Saskatchewan alongside Premier Scott Moe and the rest of our Saskatchewan Party team in 2020.”

First elected in 2011, Merriman currently serves as the Minister of Social Services.

“The nearly-complete Jim Pattison Children’s hospital is something we can be very proud of” Merriman stated, “We’ve invested in the most important part of our province: our children. We will continue to make the right decisions when it comes to investing in the future of Saskatchewan and that includes balancing the budget this spring.”

Merriman and his wife, Leane Durand, live in Saskatoon and have four children. 

With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 18 candidates for the next provincial election.

The next nomination meeting will be held in the constituency of Regina Pasqua on January 7, 2018.
