Hugh Nerlien Acclaimed as Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Kelvington-Wadena November 02, 2018

Porcupine Plain, SK  –  Hugh Nerlien was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Kelvington-Wadena for the next provincial election.

“I am honored by the opportunity to continue to serve the constituents of Kelvington-Wadena” Nerlien said, “I am proud of the communities we serve here in rural Saskatchewan and will continue to work to earn the support of everyone living in this constituency.”

Nerlien was first elected in the 2016 provincial election. He has served as Legislative Secretary to the Minister responsible for the Public Service Commission and more recently as Legislative Secretary to the Minister Responsible for SaskTel.

“Our theme of Standing up for Saskatchewan is fitting” Nerlien stated, “The Saskatchewan Party has done an excellent job of encouraging growth in our province and by adding supports for our growing population. We are ready to grow even stronger.”

Nerlien has extensive volunteer experience, including serving as a former president of the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association, Porcupine Plain Economic Development Committee, and as a board member for Porcupine Credit Union Limited.

Prior to becoming MLA, Nerlien was the owner/operator of Dragonfly Holdings Ltd. in the town of Porcupine Plain.

Nerlien and his wife, Giselle currently live in the constituency, and have two sons and one daughter.

With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 8 candidates for the next provincial election with 9 more nomination meetings scheduled before the end of the year.

The next nomination meeting will be held in the constituency of Rosetown-Elrose this evening, November 2, 2018.
