Premier Scott Moe is the First Nominated Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the 2020 Provincial Election September 27, 2018

Shellbrook, SK – Saskatchewan Party Leader Premier Scott Moe was nominated tonight as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Rosthern-Shellbrook.

This is the first of 61 nomination meetings that are being held across the province to prepare for the next provincial election, expected in 2020.

“It is never lost on me that the opportunity to represent you, the constituents of Rosthern-Shellbrook, as your Saskatchewan Party candidate, is one I am so very fortunate to have.” Moe said, “It is with great honour that I represent this Party as Leader. I am humbled and thankful for your continued support.”

“As we head toward the 2020 Provincial Election, our team will continue to stand up for Saskatchewan.”

Moe was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in the 2011 provincial election. He was re-elected for a second term in the 2016 election.

In January 2018, Moe was elected by Saskatchewan Party Members to be Leader of the Saskatchewan Party after the resignation of Former Premier, Brad Wall. Scott Moe was sworn in as Premier of Saskatchewan on February 2, 2018.

Premier Scott Moe was born and raised in the constituency on a grain farm between Shellbrook and Parkside. He and his wife Krista currently reside nearby in Shellbrook.  He studied at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

With this nomination, Premier Scott Moe is the first candidate nominated for the 2020 provincial election.

The next nomination date is set for October 1, 2018 in the constituency of Biggar-Sask Valley.
