Lloydminster— This evening, Lloydminster MLA Tim McMillan will be nominated for what will be the third time as the Saskatchewan Party candidate in Lloydminster for the next provincial election.
“It's a privilege to be elected and have the confidence of the people of this constituency,” McMillan said. “It is exciting to see how this province has grown and prospered in the last 7 years and I am honoured to serve the people that are part of that growth.”
McMillan was first elected to the Legislature representing the Lloydminster constituency in 2007. McMillan was re-elected again in 2011.
In June 2010, Tim joined the provincial cabinet as the Minister Responsible for Crown Investments Corporation, Saskatchewan Government Insurance, Information Services Corporation, and the Information Technology Office. In September of 2010, Tim was also appointed as the Minister Responsible for the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority (SLGA).
In November 2011, McMillan was appointed by the Premier to the Treasury Board. In 2012, McMillan was appointed to the Minister Responsible for Energy and Resources, Minister Responsible for Tourism Saskatchewan, Minister Responsible for Trade and the Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy Incorporated.
In 2014, McMillan was asked to serve as Minister Responsible for Rural & Remote Health where he has been focused on completing an update to our government's Patient First initiative, ensuring that health dollars are getting to the front line services improving care for patients.
McMillan is proud of the Saskatchewan Party government’s record and feels that Premier Brad Wall is a strong leader. McMillan is looking forward to the continued growth under his leadership.

With McMillan’s nomination as the candidate for Lloydminster, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated 36 candidates for the next provincial election.
