Travis Keisig Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Last Mountain-Touchwood October 02, 2023

CUPAR, SK – Tonight, Travis Keisig was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party nominated candidate for Last Mountain-Touchwood in the 2024 provincial election.

“I’d like to thank the constituents of Last-Mountain Touchwood for supporting and encouraging me to run again,” Keisig said. “I look forward to representing the Saskatchewan Party in the election next year.”

Keisig was first elected in the 2020 provincial election and currently serves as Legislative Secretary to the Minister responsible for Crown Investments Corporation. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on the Intergovernmental Affairs and Justice.

Before entering politics Keisig served several years in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, 16 Medical Company. He would later work in various welding positions, including mobile pressure welder in the oil and gas sector. Keisig also farms in the RM of Tullymet.

Keisig has volunteered on many boards, including the Ituna Silver Spurs Lighthorse 4H Club, Ituna School Community Council, and Wyber Hall Committee. He has also contributed his welding services to community projects such as the Balcarres Lions Playground.

Keisig was born in Balcarres and raised in the RM of Tullymet No. 216, where he still resides and farms today. He and his wife Sheila have two daughters.  

With Keisig’s nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has now nominated 22 candidates ahead of the 2024 provincial election.
