Prince Albert— MLA Victoria Jurgens will be nominated on Saturday as the Saskatchewan Party candidate in Prince Albert Northcote for the next provincial election.
“I’m very happy to be the Saskatchewan Party’s candidate for Prince Albert Northcote again,” Jurgens said. “I care about my constituents and I want to make sure I can bring their concerns to the legislature. I’d like to say a great big thank you to my constituents for providing me the opportunity to serve them.”
Jurgens was first elected to the legislature in 2011. She is a member of the Legislation and Regulation Review Committee, and the caucus’ Economy committee. She also serves on the legislature’s Standing Committee on the Economy.
“I’ve been working hard to ensure that the issues that matter to Prince Albert are heard in Regina,” Jurgens said. “I’m proud that our government recently announced funding for the planning and renewal of the Victoria Hospital as a result.”
Jurgens says she is proud of the many accomplishments that can be seen in her constituency since she was elected.
“A top issue and priority in Prince Albert was crime and safety,” Jurgens said. “Prince Albert took the lead in crime prevention by creating the first ever in Saskatchewan HUB and COR. Our government supported this initiative with funding, and continues to fund expansion of the HUB and COR initiatives throughout the province. With this budget, there will be 15 HUBs and 3 CORs created throughout Saskatchewan. I am so proud of the initiative and leadership shown by our community of Prince Albert.”
Jurgens is proud to be part of a government that is promoting the growth of our province to the benefit of future generations.
“Under the leadership of Premier Brad Wall we continue to see strong growth in population gains, and that shows that the province is on the right track. People want to come to Saskatchewan to work and live.”
With Jurgens’ nomination as the candidate for Prince Albert Northcote, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated two candidates for the next provincial election.
