David Chan
Yorkton
David was elected MLA for Yorkton in the 2024 provincial election.
Before his election, he worked as a mental health counsellor, focusing primarily on youth and families within local First Nations communities.
David has also worked internationally, serving as a project coordinator in Chile and the Middle East for Thompson Rivers University and as a faculty member at Royal Roads University. He holds a B.Sc. in Math & Business from Thompson Rivers University and an M.A. in Intercultural & International Communication from Royal Roads University.
A dedicated volunteer, David has been involved with youth groups, tutored Indigenous youth, coached senior boys’ basketball and served as a residential care worker. He has also been active on a board for parents of children with special needs.
David lives in Yorkton with his wife and three children.
