David Chan


For the past 6 years David has worked as a mental health counsellor for local First Nations – primarily focusing on youth and families.

David has previously worked in Chile and the Middle East as a Project Manager on behalf of Thompson Rivers University, International Dept, and as a faculty member with Royal Roads University.

He has a B.Sc. in Math & Business from Thompson Rivers University, as well as an M.A. in Intercultural & International Communication from Royal Roads University. He also holds a TESL Certificate, (Teaching English as a Second Language), and is working towards a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling.

As a volunteer David has been involved with Youth Groups, as a tutor for Indigenous youth, and as an English instructor. He has also coached senior boys’ basketball, was a volunteer residential care worker, and sat on a board for parents of children with special needs.

Chan resides in Yorkton with his wife and their two daughters.
