David Buckingham Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Westview

Saskatoon, SK  – David Buckingham was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Saskatoon Westview for the next provincial election.

“It’s an honour to be acclaimed by Saskatchewan Party members in this constituency, and to know that you have faith in me to continue representing you here in Saskatoon Westview,” Buckingham said, “I am ready to keep standing up for our constituency and our province under the leadership of Premier Scott Moe.”

Buckingham was first elected in the 2016 provincial election; taking the seat of the former NDP leader, Cam Broten.

“Since becoming MLA, I’ve witnessed the building of elementary schools, the further completion of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and the opening of the Chief Mistawasis bridge.” Buckingham said, “We’ve seen growth and our party has shown leadership in responding to that growth. I am looking forward to what is coming next.”

With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 14 candidates for the next provincial election.

The next nomination will be held in the constituency of Saskatoon University on December 6, 2018.
