Lori Carr Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Estevan for the 2020 Provincial Election

Estevan, SK – Last night, Lori Carr was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Estevan for the next provincial election, expected in 2020.
“I want to thank everyone for coming out tonight and for your support.” Carr said, “As we head toward the next provincial election, I am honored by the opportunity to continue to represent the constituency of Estevan. “I am proud of the progress our party has made. I’ve said it before, we are going to continue to move this province forward”
“I am ready to stand up for Estevan by standing up for Saskatchewan alongside our Premier, Scott Moe.”
Carr was first elected in the 2016 provincial Election.
Carr has been a member of the Government’s House Leadership team as Deputy Whip and has served both the Minister of Finance and the Minister responsible for SaskPower as a Legislative Secretary.
On August 15, 2018, Premier Scott Moe appointed Carr as the Minister of Highways and Infrastructure.
“Estevan has grown; Saskatchewan has grown.” Carr said, “Our record has been one of a continued response to our decade of growth. In the area of highways and infrastructure, we have responded to the growing needs of our communities by building bridges and by-passes to accommodate travelers."
Carr lives in Estevan with her partner Bart and has three children. She has always been active in her community as a board member for the Air Cadet League and Ducks Unlimited.
With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 4 candidates for the next provincial election.
The next nomination meeting will be held in the constituency of Meadow Lake tonight, October 5, 2018.
