CJ Katz Wins Contested Nomination in Regina Douglas Park
February 01, 2016Regina— CJ Katz won a contested nomination on Saturday to become the Saskatchewan Party candidate in Regina Douglas Park for the next provincial election.
“It is an overwhelming honour to be representing the Regina Douglas Park constituency,” Katz said. “I will continue to work hard to earn voters’ support and to be their voice in the Legislature.”
Katz is an award-winning business owner and author well known for collaborating with diverse people and interests to reach innovative solutions to complex issues. She is a dedicated volunteer to amateur sport in Saskatchewan, serving on the board of the Saskatchewan Triathlon Association Corporation and helping to spearhead the creation of the provincial High Performance Training Centre. A dedicated wife and mother of two sons, Katz enjoys photography in her spare time.
“I have met so many wonderful people who are looking for leadership at the provincial level to help facilitate opportunities for themselves and their families,” Katz said. “I want to serve and make a difference and represent the needs of Douglas Park.”
Katz says she is looking forward to running in the upcoming election.
“It’s important to represent the interests and needs of Douglas Park constituents, and to help them leverage their opportunities and skills with the programs and support made available by government,” Katz said. “I want to continue to advocate for growth and innovation.”
“I am eager to join the strong leadership and visionary group of Saskatchewan Party MLAs and be part of the team that continues to make Saskatchewan great under Premier Wall’s leadership,” Katz said. “Given my background in business coupled with my communication skills, I can be an effective member of the Saskatchewan Party and continue to serve Saskatchewan in the very best way possible.”
With Katz’s nomination as the candidate for Regina Douglas Park the Saskatchewan Party has nominated 60 candidates for the next provincial election.
