Everett Hindley Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Swift Current

Everett Hindley Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Swift Current January 09, 2019

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 9, 2019

Swift Current, SK – Everett Hindley was acclaimed by local Saskatchewan Party members as the Saskatchewan Party’s candidate for the 2020 election. Hindley is the current MLA for Swift Current, after winning the 2018 by-election to replace Brad Wall.

“It’s an honour to once again have the support of Swift Current’s Saskatchewan Party members,” said Hindley. “I’m looking forward to the October 2020 election.”

Hindley pointed to the investments the Saskatchewan Party has made in the Swift Current constituency as one of the reasons he decided to run again.

“Investments like a brand-new long-term care facility, improved highways, and more physicians and nurses for Swift Current means that the quality of life for our residents keeps improving,” said Hindley. “Under the NDP, Saskatchewan struggled, and people left the province. Today, Saskatchewan keeps growing and improving each and every day.”

Hindley also said the Saskatchewan Party is the only political party in the province that will stand up for the interests of Saskatchewan families, jobs, and businesses.

“We are going to keep fighting the federal government’s imposed carbon tax and advocating for greater oil pipeline capacity which are two of the most significant issues affecting the people of Swift Current,” said Hindley. “The same cannot be said for the NDP: they support a carbon tax, are against pipelines, and have no plan for Saskatchewan’s economy. The Saskatchewan Party will keep representing and standing up for the people of this great province.”

Hindley and his wife, Anita, live in Swift Current. They have two grown children and one grandchild.

With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 20 candidates for the 2020 provincial election.

The next nomination meeting will be held in the constituency of Saskatoon Southeast on January 13, 2019.
