Jim Lemaigre looks back on one year in office

One year ago, Jim Lemaigre made history in Saskatchewan.

When the By-Election was called in Athabasca, nobody thought that the Saskatchewan Party could win.

The seat had been held by the NDP since 1975, and no centre-right party had come within 10 points since 1964.

But we knew we had a chance to change all of that.

Our party had a strong record to campaign on, and more than that, we had a phenomenal candidate.

Jim is a proud member of Clearwater River Dene Nation, a retired member of the RCMP, a father, and a grandfather.

Jim campaigned hard, and we won. Now he represents Northwest Saskatchewan in the legislature.
