Ken Cheveldayoff Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Willowgrove July 24, 2023

SASKATOON, SK – Tonight, Ken Cheveldayoff was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party candidate for Saskatoon Willowgrove in the 2024 provincial election.

 “I sincerely thank the great people in Saskatoon Willowgrove and the local Saskatchewan Party members for their support,” Cheveldayoff said. “I am very proud of the record we have built since 2007 and I’m ready to continue to serve the people of my constituency.”

Cheveldayoff was first elected as the MLA for Saskatoon Silver Springs in 2003. He was re-elected in the 2007 and 2011 provincial elections. With the changes in provincial boundaries, he was elected in 2016 and again in 2020 as the MLA for Saskatoon Willowgrove.

Since becoming MLA, Cheveldayoff has served in various roles including Minister of Crown Corporations, Minister of Enterprise Saskatchewan, Minister Responsible for SaskEnergy, Minister Responsible for Trade, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport, Minister Responsible for the Public Service Commission, Minister of First Nations and Métis Relations, Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Gaming Corporation, and Minister Responsible for Northern Affairs. He has also served as Minister of Environment, Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Watershed Authority, and Minister Responsible for Saskatchewan Water Corporation.

Prior to being elected, Cheveldayoff worked with Western Economic Diversification assisting individual businesses and industries to grow and expand. He has B.A. (Honours) in Economics and Political Science and a Masters of Business Administration.

Cheveldayoff and his wife Trish live in Saskatoon and have two adult children.

With Cheveldayoff's nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 11 candidates for the next provincial election.
