Khushdil Mehrok (Lucky) Wins Contested Nomination in Regina South Albert January 25, 2024

REGINA, SK – Tonight, Khushdil Mehrok (also known as Lucky) won a contested nomination to be the Saskatchewan Party’s candidate for Regina South Albert in the 2024 provincial election. He defeated one other candidate.

“I want to thank my wife, children, family, friends and everyone who showed up to support me here tonight,” Mehrok said. “I’m excited to join this strong Saskatchewan Party team and look forward to meeting with the great people in our constituency.”

First immigrating to Toronto from Punjab, India with his family in 2006, Mehrok would soon call Indian Head, Saskatchewan home. His family began managing a local motel restaurant business, and would expand their restaurant presence to Regina, Saskatoon, and surrounding areas. Additionally, they launched their own distribution company to support similar businesses across Saskatchewan.

Mehrok is an active member of the Punjabi and Indian communities in Regina and has dedicated many years to the day-to-day operations of the Sikh Society of Regina. Mehrok has also been involved in several other initiatives around the city, including distributing free food to those in need.

Mehrok and his wife Manpinder reside in Regina with their daughters.

The Saskatchewan Party has now nominated 35 candidates ahead of the 2024 provincial election.
