Marv Friesen Acclaimed as 2024 Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Riversdale August 15, 2023

SASKATOON, SK  – Tonight, Marv Friesen was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Saskatoon Riversdale in the 2024 provincial election. 

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to represent Saskatoon Riversdale once again,” Friesen said. “I have been working hard to earn your support in the lead up to the 2024 election.”

Friesen was elected as the MLA for Saskatoon Riversdale in the 2020 provincial election. He currently serves as a member of the Meewasin Valley Authority Board and the Standing Committee on Human Services, as well as the Legislative Secretary to the Minister of Parks, Culture, and Sport.

Friesen was previously the owner of Marv’s Place Auto Repair Ltd., and sold his business to pursue a life in public service. Friesen has also founded Rides by Marv’s, a not-for-profit organization that collects and repairs new or gently used bicycles and distributes them to people in need.

Friesen has three children, and he currently lives in the Saskatoon Riversdale constituency. 

With Friesen’s nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 16 candidates for the 2024 provincial election.
