On April 13, 2012, the Five Hills Regional Health Authority announced it had reached a purchase agreement with the City of Moose Jaw for approximately 30 acres of land along Highway 1 in north Moose Jaw on which the new hospital would be built. Minister of Health, the Hon. Don McMorris brought greetings on behalf of the Saskatchewan Party Government. Construction is expected to begin in the spring of 2013.
