Jim Reiter Acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for Rosetown-Elrose
November 02, 2018Rosetown, SK – Jim Reiter was acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party Candidate for the constituency of Rosetown-Elrose for the next provincial election, expected in 2020.
“I am proud to continue to serve the people of Rosetown-Elrose” Reiter said, “It is an honour to represent our constituency in the Legislature.”
Reiter was first elected in the 2007 provincial election and was successfully re-elected in both the 2011 and 2016 provincial elections. He has previously served as the Minister of Highways and Infrastructure, Minister of First Nations, Métis and Northern Affairs, and Minister of Government Relations and currently serves as the Minister of Health.
“Our record in health shows we are committed to supporting our growing population that call Saskatchewan home” said Reiter, “Since 2007 we have opened new hospitals, new health care centers and brought in 900 more doctors and 3700 more nurses, unlike the NDP who left behind a huge deficit in both infrastructure and front-line staff.”
Reiter holds a senior certificate in local government administration from the University of Regina as one of his many educational accomplishments. In his community he served as a Justice of the Peace and Marriage Commissioner.
Reiter and his wife Bonnie live in Rosetown.
With this nomination, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated a total of 9 candidates for the next provincial election with 8 more nomination meetings scheduled before the end of the year.
The next nomination meeting will be held in the constituency of Prince Albert Carlton on November 5, 2018.
