The NDP have grossly underestimated the cost of their proposed changes at City Hospital in Saskatoon. They pegged the cost of 40 more acute care beds at $16.6 million. The actual cost is more like $66 million. 

That's because the NDP estimated the cost of an acute care bed at $355 per day. The Ministry of Health and Canadian Institute for Health Information confirm the approximate cost of an acute bed in Saskatchewan is $1,303 per day.

We’ve seen this before. The NDP makes big promises in election campaigns on health care and then fail to deliver, like when they closed 1,000 hospital beds.
